Dear Fellow Laborer,
We are pleased to tell you about the Christian Coalition Against Domestic Abuse, a 501c3 tax exempt non-profit ministry whose purpose is to address the issues of abuse in our midst. With dependence on God, His Word, the love of our Lord, Jesus Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, our mission is to empower the Christian community and its leadership by bringing awareness to the issue of domestic abuse in our community so that through prayerful collaboration, education and intervention we end and prevent abusive behaviors.
The Coalition addresses all forms of domestic abuse, including child abuse, dating abuse, spousal abuse and elder abuse. We want to stop abuse in the family and develop methods to resolve the abuse issues currently existing because when this evil no longer exists, our marriage and family relationships will endure and prosper as God has intended.
Some of our current areas of ministry:
Training Seminars to the Christian community and its leadership
Resources – posters, brochures, bulletin inserts
A website with relevant information and contact ability for support,
questions and Christian Spiritual guidance
Speakers who present to ministry groups, churches and ministry organizations
A place where many voices can come together to tackle this evil
Individual counseling and Group support to help those heal from abuse
and we are now working with Dade Corrections Department to provide groups to the men and women who are incarcerated.
Some areas of ministry we would like to offer:
A Toll-free Helpline to assist with support and guidance (currently all hotlines are secular)
Additional free resources for ministries and individuals in English, Spanish and Creole
Groups to help those who are abusing to stop their behaviors, heal from the causes, and restore their relationship with the Lord
Facilitation trainings and Resources so the local church can provide appropriate groups and Bible Studies for those who have been abused and those who are abusing
For these to happen, we need your support. We invite you to consider helping in one of these areas: Host a Training Seminar or conference
Include supporting the CCADA financially in your Local Missions Ministries or as an adjunct to your personal giving
Underwrite specific ministry areas
Help underwrite one of our fundraising activities
Help spread the word about the Coalition
In addition, if you or someone from your congregation would like to participate in this Coalition you are most welcome. You may also want to consider becoming a member of the Coalition, soliciting a representative from your church. If you would like more information on membership, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Remember, we are available to assist you and your congregational needs. For example, we have bulletin inserts, Christian brochures with information and emergency phone numbers, Christian posters to hang in areas of your church and church offices, and this website with relevant information. We also have members available to speak to your congregation if desired. We present seminars on such topics as spousal abuse, teen dating violence, child abuse and elder abuse to the Christian community and would be honored by your attendance and church’s participation. You can check our website for updated information, including the date and time of our next Coalition meeting.
The Coalition’s vision is that the Christian community and its Leadership will: bring the Light of Christ on this evil in our midst so that His Light shines in the dark places; be well educated on the issues of abuse in order to help those suffering in abusive relationships; understand how to offer help and support to create a trustworthy sanctuary of safety for those who have been or are being abused; create a climate in which abuse is not tolerated and those who abuse are held accountable while encouraging spiritual restoration so that all abuse is ended and peace and justice reign throughout His land.
As our theme verse states, “No longer will violence be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise.” Isaiah 60:18

Working together, we can expose the evil of domestic abuse to the Light of Jesus Christ and help all of God’s children to realize respectful relationships. We can end and prevent abusive behaviors in our midst and in our community. It is a mighty vision, but we serve a very Mighty God.
